  OVERALL IMPRESSION. Under Construction is the result of a brilliant collaboration between Arizona guitarist Amy Schugar and the legendary Michael Schenker (Scorpions/UFO/MSG). The eight-song demo CD is a good mix of hard rock with catchy hooks and thoughtful lyrics. Schenker handles the guitar duties on the majority of the CD masterfully, while Schugar takes the lead role on "Surrender" and "All I Got," with Fred Robinson also contributing on "Surrender" and playing some lead on "All I Got." Schenker also provides backing vocals for three of the eight songs. Schugar's voice works well with the music, and her vocals are delivered with feeling on each song. Under Construction is a good solid performance.

  DISAPPOINTMENTS. Some of the songs sound too similar to each other, which possibly could have been avoided by recording more than eight songs.
